Custom cellular arch window shades offer the perfect solution for your architectural window challenges. Arched cellular window shades will open into the window like a sunburst or fan. These do not open and close like a regular shade. Rather, they are stationary. Cellular arch shades are one of very few options for insulating a window and the warm glow of filtered light that passes into the room is very soft. Cellular arched blinds can be matched to your other cellular shades in the same room by buying the same brand for both the arch and standard window.
A perfect arch is an arch that is twice as wide as the height, e.g. 32”W x 16” H. Most perfect arches will not require a template. However, all imperfect arches will require a template to manufacturer the shade. Blackout arched window shades are also available and is most often used in bedrooms and media rooms. These shades are simple elegance at its best.
Arch cellular windows treatments look chic and nice. Best part is they are available in various choices for every type of windows sizes.
I’m a decorator in FL and have a new client who just installed aluminum impact resistant French doors and windows. She informs me that window treatments cannot be attached to these windows with screws or anything that penetrates the surface. We’d like to put woven woods that draw up/down on the French doors, but can’t figure out how to apply. This will also be a problem trying to attach any kind of blinds to the windows. YIKES!
I look forward to your suggestions – especially anyone in the Hurricane Zone who will have to deal with these special windows!
Hello,
All of our blinds and shades must be attached to the mounting surface with screws. When you come across a surface that can not be penetrated with screws, look above to see if you can do an outside mount on the wall above or the wood trim around the opening.
